PlanetBids Honored for Innovation

Every year since 1963, the President of the United States designates one week as National Small Business Week (May 20th-26th) in recognition of the small business community’s contribution to the American economy.

Thirteen winners from Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties were announced today in observance of National Small Business Week by the Los Angeles District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

PlanetBids Co-Founders Alan and Arpie Zavian will have the honor to be recognized for their achievements in technological innovation and contributions as entrepreneurs, small business champions and resource partners in the greater Los Angeles area who are helping to drive the regional economy and accelerate economic recovery.

The Los Angeles District Office’s Small Business Week award luncheon is scheduled to be held Wednesday, June 13 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel at 506 South Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The awards luncheon includes a small business expo and networking reception, and is co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.

Alan and Arpie Zavian will receive the award for providing leading eProcurement solutions to primarily government agencies of all size and types.
